Prospero - Extended Theatre

A joint initiative by Arte, Creative Europe, and nine European theaters, Prospero is a digital platform that offers free access to theater and dance performances. I was tasked with creating the banner (which was later animated) that appears when the site loads, adapted into various formats for the web and social media.

Valentin Pavageau is a French illustrator and digital artist currently based in Brussels. His work blends traditional illustration techniques with digital collage, focusing on psychedelic and surreal scenes in which cut-out protagonists are often out of scale with their surroundings. Drawing from diverse sources of inspiration — from op-art and psychedelia to symbolism and vintage aesthetics, his visuals evoke a mesmerizing sense of both vertigo and balance. Valentin uses vivid color schemes, rich gradients, as well as hypnotic black-and-white patterns, bringing them all together through minimalist compositions that accentuate the power of each image.
